Sights / Optics: The front sight is a red bead in a base at the front of the rib and there is a smaller white alignment bead. The rib is checkered for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered walnut with a finger groove forend, straight grip, straight comb, and aftermarket ventilated Pachmayr recoil pad. There is a small crack on the bottom of the grip at the rear of the receiver tang accompanied by some finish loss. There are some scattered compressions, nicks, and scratches. The checkering is strong with some light rub wear. The LOP measures 14 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the aftermarket recoil pad and 13 5/8” to the wood. The pad has light wear from standard use and remains pliable. The drop at the comb is approximately 1 3/8? and 1 3/8? at the heel. The cast is slightly off. The stocks rate in Very Good-Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright with no erosion. In this writer’s opinion, the bores rate a 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The barrel, frame, forend iron, are all serial matching. There is light finish loss around the muzzles. There is some discoloration in the crevices of the receiver. There are a few little nicks and small marks through the finish. The forend has some play to the forend iron. There are scattered handling marks. The screwheads are sharp. Overall, this shotgun is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The trigger group is removable. The action functions correctly. The barrels lock up with no play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a green canvas hard case with felt interior.
Our Assessment: Perazzi sounds like a high end sports car, and in the gun world it is. They have long been a staple of just about any kind of shotgun sport you can name, famous for their craftsmanship, beauty, and durability. As such, they command a high price, with some buyers going all the way to Italy to be measured in person so that their gun can be specially and exactly fit to them. That said, like a high-end sports car, it can be much more economical to buy used. This one is their MX8 model with a 32” barrel set. With its beautiful construction and legendary Perazzi quality, this is a gun that will turn some heads and dust some clays. Please see our photos and good luck!
