Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a tritium lamp that is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a lo mount square notch sight dovetailed into the slide. There is a tritium lamp on either side of the square notch. The lamps no longer glow in low light environments.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered double diamond grips. There are some light handling marks, but no notable defects. The checkering is sharp. The grips rate in Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates a 10 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are scattered light handling marks.  There is light operational wear. The screw sockets are strong. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly with a snug and smooth slide to frame fit. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be required to meet your maintenance standards.

This pistol is an excellent example of why they have earned this reputation. With the Special Forces 1911, Ed Brown has combined the most desired upgrades, including front strap and mainspring housing chainlink treatment, extended beavertail indexing bump safety, ambidextrous thumb safety, and skeletonized hammer and trigger, with their legendary craftsmanship quality. The type of quality that makes this an excellent target and defensive pistol with which you can trust your life! This pistol is in Excellent condition, showing signs of light use, with great mechanics and a nice bore. If you’ve been looking to get a premium-quality 1911, you can’t do much better than this.
