Our Assessment: Dan Wesson’s Model 15-2 series is best known for its interchangeable barrel system, allowing shooters to change barrel lengths and shrouds while maintaining the same frame and cylinder assembly. The Pistol Pac configuration is especially desirable, as it packages the revolver with multiple barrel assemblies, tools, and accessories in a fitted case. This Monson, Massachusetts-made Model 15-2VH is chambered in .357 Magnum / .38 Special, giving it both full-power magnum performance and the option of softer-shooting .38 Special loads for target work and general range use. This set includes 8″, 6″, 4″, and 2 1/2″ barrels, adjustable sights, a smooth walnut combat grip, an additional traditional walnut grip, original padded case, barrel shroud wrench, paperwork, Dan Wesson patch, and belt buckle. The complete multi-barrel Pistol Pac setup, Monson manufacture, and versatile .357 Magnum chambering should appeal strongly to Dan Wesson collectors and revolver shooters alike.
