Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Guardian”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and Dan Wesson’s address. The chamber is marked “.45ACP / MATCH”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a black blade with a tritium dot insert, dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notch sight with two tritium dot inserts, dovetailed to the slide. AmeriGlo H3 Tritium Night Sights.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a two-piece textured wood grip set. The grips show no notable wear. The texturing is well defined, and the grips fit tightly to the frame, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Excellent condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 2x 8rd factory magazines, in Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Black Nitride (Slide), Black Anodized (Frame).

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no notable wear. The finish is intact throughout. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this pistol, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with its original Dan Wesson nylon soft case, owner’s manual/paperwork, cable lock, and the two magazines as mentioned above.

Chambered in .45 ACP, the classic American service cartridge introduced in 1905 and adopted with the 1911 platform, the Guardian offers a 4 1/4 inch barrel and lightweight anodized frame beneath a durable black nitride slide. Dan Wesson pistols are widely regarded for their precise slide-to-frame fit, match grade barrels, and premium components, placing them among the more desirable production 1911 variants on today’s market.
This example retains approximately 99 percent of its original finish, with the black nitride slide and anodized frame presenting clean and even. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 10 out of 10. The AmeriGlo H3 tritium night sights are properly installed, and the textured wood grips remain sharply defined with no notable wear. The action and safety function correctly as noted. Included are two factory 8 round magazines along with the original Dan Wesson soft case and paperwork.
