Our Assessment: From Dakota Arms’ themselves: “The epitome of strength and beauty among single-shot rifles. Our famous Model 10 is lightweight, pleasing to the eye and deadly accurate. Its exceptionally solid falling-block design and fast lock time produce world-renowned accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency, and the fit and finish are impeccable.”. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. This Model 10 Deluxe is a gorgeous rifle, chambered for the 7mm Dakota cartridge. The 7mm Dakota is one of seven hunting cartridges designed by Don Allen and based on the .404 Jeffery case shortened to function in standard (.30-06) length actions This 7mm cartridge is yet another entry in the increasingly popular caliber. Given the use of the non-belted 404 Jeff rey case, the 7mm Dakota gains an estimated 15% increase in capacity over a near rival such as the 7mm Remington Magnum. This wonderful cartridge is paired with exhibition grade walnut stocks, vibrant case color finish on the receiver, lever and tasteful skeleton grip cap and buttplate. Topped off with bases for a scope, this is going to make for a hunting rifle as functional as it is beautiful. Please see our photos and good luck!
Some are hot, some are not, but thankfully most can be shot!
