Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “CZ 75 SP-01”, “SHADOW / 9×19”, and with the company logo, the right is marked “19” with a proof mark and “C969913”. The left side of the frame is marked “CZC MESA AZ” and “MADE IN / CZECH REPUBLIC”. The right side of the frame is marked “CZ-USA, KANSAS CITY, KS”, with a proof mark and “C969913”. The chamber is marked “C969913”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a red fiber optic insert pinned to the slide and the rear is a fully adjustable square notch with a serrated face, it is dovetailed into the slide and further secured with a set screw.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered alloy panels. The panels show no perceptible wear or marks. Overall, the grips rate in about Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore but there is a small amount of stubborn fowling.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no significant wear that is worth mentioning. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this handgun is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double-action is smooth and the single action is light and crisp. The gun is mounted with an ambidextrous low-profile safety. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a black plastic CZ case with a serial-matching label, paperwork including manual and test target, and a total of three 18-round magazines.
Our Assessment: As stated on CZ’s website, “Discontinued in 2020, the Target II is a competition-ready Pre-B style SP-01 Shadow, featuring a CZ Custom trigger job with the new short reset single-action trigger, fully-adjustable rear sight, fiber optic front sight, stainless steel guide rod, lighter springs for competition (11 lb recoil and 13 lb main springs), extended magazine release, drop-free magazines and checkered aluminum grips. Created by champion shooter Angus Hobdell’s CZ Custom Shop to have trigger pulls of 3.0-4.0 lbs in SA and 7.5-8.5 lbs in DA.” This pistol is simply gorgeous. It has very obviously been extremely well maintained by its previous owner. The trigger is smooth as butter and breaks crisply like grandma’s saltine crackers. Please see our photos and good luck!
