Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16×42 scope, with a BDC reticle. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows light wear, with a few light dings and scratches in the scope’s finish. Overall, the scope rates in Very Good condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a Boyd’s Varmint Thumbhole laminate stock, with a pistol grip, monte carlo comb with cheekpiece, black rubber buttpad, a wide forend with dual sling studs, and a sling stud in the belly. The LOP measures 13 7/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light handling wear, with only a couple of minor compressions on the bottom of the forend. The stock’s finish is intact. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. The barrel is free-floating. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minor handling wear, with only a couple of minor dings throughout, most notably on the bottom of the muzzle brake. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The user-adjustable trigger has a light, crisp, and clean break. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Tikka’s T1x line brings the Finnish maker’s reputation for smooth bolt operation, practical accuracy, and clean trigger design into a rimfire platform well suited for training, target work, and field use. This custom T1x is chambered in .17 HMR, a high-velocity rimfire cartridge known for its flat trajectory, low recoil, and strong performance on varmints, small game, and precision rimfire targets. This example features a 20″ barrel threaded 1/2×28, measuring 21 5/8″ with the attached 3-port muzzle brake, a 1:9″ twist, Boyd’s Varmint Thumbhole laminate stock, free-floating barrel, user-adjustable trigger, Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16×42 scope with clear glass, and three 10-round factory magazines. The upgraded thumbhole stock, quality Vortex optic, muzzle brake, excellent bore, and generous magazine package should appeal to rimfire shooters looking for a refined varmint, target, or range rifle.
This rifle rates in Excellent overall condition, retaining about 99% of its original blued finish with only minor handling wear and a couple small dings, most notably on the bottom of the muzzle brake. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, rating 10/10 in this writer’s opinion. The Boyd’s laminate stock also rates in Excellent condition, showing only a couple minor compressions on the bottom of the forend, while retaining an intact finish, tight fit to the barreled action, free-floating barrel, and no chips or cracks. The Vortex scope rates in Very Good condition with clear glass and light exterior wear, including a few small dings and scratches in the finish. The markings are clear and legible, the screw heads are sharp, and the action, safety, and light, crisp user-adjustable trigger function correctly.
