Sights / Optics: The front sight is a post dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is an adjustable Bomar style square-notch dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The installed grips are two piece checkered wood grips with Colt medallions. There is minimal handling wear on the grips. There are no chips or cracks. The installed grips are in Excellent Condition. The extra grips are two piece basket weave wood panels with “COLT” inscribed. There is minimal handling wear on the grips. Type of Finish: Stainless with gold colored accents
Finish Originality: The stainless steel was polished and the gold-colored accents are non-factory
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with light fouling present. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 99% of its metal finish. The firearm shows minimal operational and handling wear. There are no notable blemishes present. The screw heads are unmarred and remain turnable. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Talo Exclusive 1 of 600 Colt Gold Cup Trophy Series 70 is a special production variant of the classic Gold Cup line, built on the traditional Series 70 platform by Colt. The Gold Cup name has long been associated with Colt’s premium target-oriented 1911 pistols. As a limited Talo run of only 600 examples, this model holds additional collector appeal.
Chambered in .45 Auto with a 5 inch barrel, this pistol reflects the classic Government Model configuration paired with the time-proven .45 Auto cartridge. The stainless steel has been polished, giving it a brighter presentation than standard factory finish, and the gold-colored accents are non-factory additions. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10, indicating excellent internal condition. The action functions correctly.
