The jeweling on the bolt is vivid and bright. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The trigger has been upgraded to a Jewel adjustable trigger, and breaks consistently at 3 ounces. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the scope and bipod, as mentioned above, along with a paper listed with the full rifle build information, most of which is included in this write-up.
Our Assessment: The Remington Model 700 has served as a popular foundation for precision and varmint rifles since its 1962 introduction, with its cylindrical receiver providing a straightforward bedding surface for custom builds. This example is configured for deliberate bench or supported shooting with a 26″ stainless heavy-contour Pac-Nor barrel, bedded laminate stock, free-floating barrel, Harris bipod, and an adjustable Jewel trigger breaking at approximately 3 ounces. The Leupold VX-3 6.5–20×50 scope, Varmint Hunter reticle, side focus, and dual sunshades complement the rifle’s precision-oriented .308 Winchester configuration.
The rifle retains approximately 98% of the metal finish, showing only light scratches and minor dings, while the jeweled bolt remains vivid and bright. The checkered laminate stock is tight and structurally sound with no chips or cracks, though the Limbsaver buttpad shows significant wear. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, with fouling present, and both the action and safety function correctly. The Leupold scope has clear glass with scattered exterior handling marks, and the rifle includes the mounted Harris bipod and a build-information sheet.
