Markings: The left side of the frame is marked “PAT SEPT 19 1871, JULY 2 – 72, JAN – 75” The right side of the barrel is marked “COLT’S MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA” The loading gate is marked “808” The bottom of the frame, trigger guard and butt of the frame is marked “195305” The left side of the barrel is marked “45 COLT”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade, the rear sight is a V groove cut into the top of the frame.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece Stag grips. There are some scratches present. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Very Good condition.
Type of Finish: Blued / Case Color
Finish Originality: Refinished
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is defined. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are various scratches and scuffs on the barrel and frame. There is a turn line on the cylinder. The markings are clear. The screwheads are tool marked with serviceable slots. This pistol rates in Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Known for their timeless design and historical significance, these revolvers are a cherished choice for collectors, enthusiasts, and cowboy action shooters. This particular revolver is chambered in .38 Special.
This revolver has been rechambered for .38 Special which was very popular in the 1950s when the cartridge became readily available. The barrel and cylinder have been replaced. With that in mind this is a beautiful pistol. The case coloring paired with the bluing and stag grips make this a gorgeous firearm.
