Our Assessment: Cooper Firearms of Montana made their way into the rifle market producing high-quality rifles at “affordable” prices, though their quality means that affordable is in relation to rifles such as Blaser, Dakota and other high-end manufacturers. Beginning in 1990 a handful of former employees from Kimber of Oregon, with over 50 years in combined experience, set out to design and build the finest production rifles made in the United States. They have been known as one of the top makers of bolt action rifles ever since. This is a Model 52 dressed in their Jackson Hunter trim that features a 24? barrel chambered for .280 Remington AI, a tough composite stock, and a matte blued & stainless finish. The barrel on the Jackson Hunter is not typically fluted so this appears to be a special order feature. The fit matches the finish and this rifle just screams premium! Some brands claim their rifles are “the best”, “top of the line”, “the finest quality” but Cooper doesn’t need to say anything at all…their products speak for themselves. This is a premium rifle that will make short work of paper targets and game alike while enhancing any collection lucky enough to have it. Please see our photos and good luck!

Some are hot, some are not, but thankfully most can be shot!
