Mechanics (Both): The actions function correctly. The cylinders lock with light play at each stop. We did not fire these revolvers. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork, and Accessories (Both): Each revolver comes in a brown cardboard box with factory paperwork, a leaning brush, and a brass medallion.

Our Assessment: The Frontier Scout is a scaled down version of its predecessors/grandfathers, the SAA and Frontier Six Shooter. Still made by Colt and true to the original design, this pair was made in 1961 and they are chambered in the ubiquitous .22 Long Rifle. These examples are in Fine and Fine-Plus condition respectively with light handling and operational wear, a great bore and strong mechanics. These should make a fun little dual-wielding plinkers if you’re into that sort of thing. They also may find interest with the Colt collectors. Prospective Cowboy Action Shooters would do well to place a bid for these! Please see our photos and god luck!
