Our Assessment: This Colt U.S. Army model 1909 is a Double and Single action revolver that takes .45 Colt rounds. This particular revolver was manufactured in 1911 and some of these 1909s remained in service in WWI although it was ultimately replaced by the semi-automatic model 1911. The revolver has strong mechanics and a decent bore, with US inspection markings and property markings on the frame and barrel, respectively. It will make a nice addition to a military revolver or US sidearm collection. So bid high and bid firm. I highly encourage you to take a look at the condition in our high quality photos. Good luck on your bid. -K.F.
