Our Assessment: The Colt Single Action Army is one of the most legendary firearms in American history, carried by cowboys, lawmen, and soldiers alike. When Theodore Roosevelt became a Rough Rider and later the 26th President of the United States, he was no stranger to the power and reliability of Colt revolvers. As an avid outdoorsman and a firm believer in the virtues of marksmanship, Roosevelt often carried a Colt revolver during his hunting expeditions and military campaigns. This commemorative edition pays homage to his legacy, featuring elegant engravings and an ivory-style grip reminiscent of those found on Roosevelt’s personal sidearms.

Chambered in .44-40 WCF, a caliber that was popular during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this revolver embodies the spirit of the Old West and the expansion of American frontiers. The 7.5” barrel and single-action design harken back to the days when Roosevelt and his Rough Riders charged up San Juan Hill in the Spanish-American War. The deep blued finish, paired with vibrant case coloring, ensures this revolver remains as visually stunning as it is historically significant. The finely executed scroll engraving further enhances its appeal, making it a perfect tribute to one of the most influential figures in American history.

For collectors and Colt enthusiasts, this Theodore Roosevelt Commemorative revolver is an excellent acquisition. Whether displayed as a historical piece, used for cowboy action shooting, or admired as a finely crafted firearm, this revolver captures the essence of a bygone era. Its exceptional condition, beautiful embellishments, and historical connection to one of America’s greatest presidents make it a standout addition to any collection.
