Our Assessment: Colt’s Model 1873, the Single Action Army, is the “gun that won the west”, perhaps the most iconic handgun of all time. For nearly 150 years, the gun has been produced in a variety of configurations, finishes and calibers. This revolver was selected to celebrate the Sesquicentennial of the Republic of Texas. It is a Colt Sheriff’s model in Excellent condition with 99% of its blue and 24K gold finish, a bright bore with sharp rifling and strong mechanics. It comes in its original box, with a wood display case, and is decorated with Texas icons such as the Alamo, longhorn cattle, and “COME AND TAKE IT”. With a 4″ barrel, no ejector rod assembly, and chambered for the classic .45 Colt cartridge, this is a classy revolver from muzzle to butt. This revolver would make a great addition to any collection, especially if you’re from the Lone Star State. Please see our photos and good luck!
