Markings: The barrel is marked, “C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR”. The right side of the gas block is marked, “N R1 3”. The front sight is marked “UP” with a left-pointing arrow above it. The rear sight is marked “UP” with a left-pointing arrow and “DN” with a right-pointing arrow. The left side of the lower is marked with the Colt horse and logo, “SPORTER MATCH HBAR CAL .223 SER. MH073737” and also “COLT’S MFG. CO. INC. / HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” “SAFE” and “FIRE”; Block for auto sear is marked “COLT”. The buffer is marked “H”. The left side of the Bolt Carrier is marked “C”. The neck of the bolt head is marked “MP C”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an A2 adjustable post. The rear sight is an adjustable Dual Aperture in the carry handle. The carry handle is monolithic to the upper receiver. Not mounted but in the bag is a Tasco Red Dot Ready to be mounted to the carry handle.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock is an A1 Fixed Colt butstock with storage compartment stock and serrated buttpad. Inside the compartment there is a pouch but no tools. The pistol grip is a A2 style polymer grip with checkering. The handguard is a rifle length A2 handguard. The LOP measures 13.75” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. There are some scuffs on the front edges. Overall Very Good Furniture.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 2@ 5 round magazines with Colt floorplates. The magazines are in excellent condition. They do have the number “5” in marker on the side.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. 9/10 bore rating in this writer’s opinion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows loose storage marks from storage. The Hammer is replaced but very smooth and functional. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition. There are some light scratches and faint drag lines on the receivers.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The new hammer is smooth and crisp. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
