Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle includes a black sling and two 20-round magazines.

Our Assessment: The Colt SP1 is a classic rifle that represents the first civilian-legal iteration of the AR-15, staying true to Eugene Stoner’s original lightweight design. Featuring a “slick side” upper receiver without a forward assist, a 20-inch barrel, and a triangular handguard, the SP1 closely mirrors the early M16 models issued during the Vietnam War era.

This particular example is in Excellent condition, retaining about 98% of its original finish. The bright bore with sharp rifling ensures that this rifle remains a capable shooter. The inclusion of two original 20-round magazines and a black sling enhances its desirability. These rifles are always going up in value, so get them while you can.

Collectors and shooters alike will appreciate this well-preserved piece of firearms history. Whether as a collectible or for range use, the SP1 remains an iconic representation of Colt’s AR-15 legacy. So bid high and bid firm. Please take a look at the condition in our high-quality photos. Good luck with your bid. -K.F.
