Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SERIES’70 COLT MK IV / GOLD CUP NATIONAL MATCH” with the Colt rampant horse logo. The right side of the slide is marked “GOLD CUP / NATIONAL MATCH” with a trophy logo. The right side of the frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” and with the serial number “71N15232.” The barrel is marked “COLT .45 AUTO N.M.” The grip panels have gold Colt medallions.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a patridge blade dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is an adjustable target-style sight dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered walnut with gold Colt medallions. The checkering is sharp, and the grips show little to no handling wear. There are no cracks or chips. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One Colt magazine, blued, with a floorplate marked “COLT .45 AUTO.” The magazine is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal handling wear, with only faint signs of use. The slide and frame show no significant scratches, scuffs, or dings. The screw heads are sharp, and all markings are crisp and legible. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
