Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “PATENTED APR.20,1897. SEPT.9,1902 / DEC.19,1905. FEB.14,1911. AUG.19,1913” and “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.” with a Rampant Colt logo behind the slide serrations. The right of the slide is marked “MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY”. The right of the frame is marked with the serial number. The left of the frame is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” on the dust cover and “JM” circled in “G” above the magazine release. The top of the chamber is marked “P” and “H”, the right side is marked “-COLT 45 AUTO-”. The right side of the lug link is marked “PM”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a short rounded blade. The rear sight is a flat topped “U”-notch dovetailed into the top of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered walnut with smooth diamonds around the grip screws. The grips have no notable wear or damage. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is very light operational wear on the barrel, hammer and the left of the grip safety. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear except for the double-stamp on the left of the dust cover. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The slide is tight on the frame. The action functions correctly. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a two-piece cardboard box marked with the serial number which has wax paper and a second magazine wrapped in wax paper. This box itself is in a two-piece blue cardboard Colt box with an assortment of factory paperwork including manual and orange stop-sign hang-tag, cable lock and disassembly tool. All are in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. The pistol is in Excellent condition with only a hint of operational wear and comes with just about everything it did brand new.
