Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade integral to the slide above the muzzle. The rear sight is a square notch dovetailed to the top rear of the slide. The top of the slide is matte to help reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered black polymer panels featuring gold-colored Rampant Colt medallions. The grips show no notable wear or damage, just some light handling and storage marks. The checkering is sharp. The grips are in Excellent overall condition. This handgun comes with a Pachmayr grip slip-on accessory included but not installed.
Type of Finish: Blue. The sides are polished blue and the rest of the frame is matte.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, this bore rates a 9 or 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some light operational wear. There a few spots of thinning on some of the leading edges. Notably, there is finish wear on the right lower front of the slide, behind the spring retainer. There is a very fine takedown mark on the left side of the frame. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This handgun comes with a Colt cardboard box with styrofoam inserts, the Pachmayr slip-on accessory as described above and one (1) 7-round magazine with intact feed lips and strong follower spring.
