Markings: Left side of the lower receiver marked with rampant Colt logo and below that is marked “M4 CARBINE CAL. 5.56MM LE 477039”. Behind the safety switch is stamped “COLT DEFENSE HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” along with “SAFE” and “FIRE”. Top of the barrel is marked “13629 MP 5.56 NATO 1/7”. Right side of the lower receiver is marked “SAFE” and “FIRE”. The right side of the charging handle housing is marked with a Square Forge Mark and “13629”. The right side of the gas block is marked, “<B>1”. The bottom of the magazine is marked, “HK” and the side is marked, “RESTRICTED LAW ENFORCEMENT/GOVERNMENT USA ONLY 10-94 Heckler & Koch GmbH Heckler & Koch Defense Inc. Made in Germany Sterling VA”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an A2-style post and the rear sight an A2 style detachable carry handle mounted to the flat top picatinny rail above the receiver. The Flat Picatinny rail is perfect for mounting your favorite sights and optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The handguard is a carbine length round ribbed polymer handguard sling ring below the gas block and bayonet lug. The pistol grip is a standard A2 AR-15 polymer pistol grip with checkering and serrations. The checkering is dull. The buttstock is an M4 style collapsible buttstock with sling slot and sling swivel. The buttplate is integral to the buttstock and checkered. The LOP measures 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the fully extended buttstock. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition. There are no chips or cracks and is relatively free of scratches.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 30rd HK AR-15 Steel Magazine in Very Good condition. Most of the finish is worn but the spring is strong and the leading edges are mostly sharp.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is mostly sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows a couple loose storage marks as well as some finish loss on the case deflector. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
