Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with Colt’s patent dates “PATENTED APR. 20. 1897. SEPT. 9. 1902 / DEC. 19. 1905. FEB. 14. 1911. AUG. 19. 1913” and the Rampant Colt logo. Below this, it is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.” The right side of the frame is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” above the serial number “1179030” and “M1911A1 U.S. ARMY.” The grip panels feature gold Colt medallions, and the right grip is marked “COLT / MADE IN U.S.A. BY PACHMAYR.”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed blade. The rear sight is a fixed notch dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The pistol is fitted with black checkered synthetic grips featuring gold Colt medallions. The grips are in good overall condition, with light handling wear and sharp checkering. There are no cracks or major defects observed. The stock rates in about Very Good condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: Two 7-round .45 ACP magazine, in Good condition, with visible wear and handling marks.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bores is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout the barrels. In this writer’s opinion, the bores rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 90% of its metal finish. The finish shows thinning on the edges and areas of handling wear, particularly on the slide and frame. There are some scattered minor nicks and handling marks. The screw heads are lightly tooled but remain serviceable. The pins are unmarred. The markings are sharp and legible. Overall, this pistol rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a fitted wooden case containing various spare parts, including a total of 6 barrels, recoil springs, mainspring housing, extractor, and other small components.
