Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows a light turn line on the cylinder. There are some sparsely scattered nicks and scratches. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks in each position with barely perceptible play when the trigger is pressed. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with a Colt blue polymer case and an instruction manual.
Our Assessment: One of Colt’s “Seven Serpents”, the King Cobra is a medium-frame 6-shot .357 revolver. It has the looks of a Python with lockwork more similar to the venerable Trooper line of revolvers. This example has a polished blue finish with a 2.5″ barrel making it quite collectible. It is in Excellent condition with about 97% of its finish, a great bore, and strong mechanics. This would make a carry or home defense revolver and would also fit in with a Colt collection that hasn’t added this snake to the pit. Please see our pictures and good luck in your bidding!
