Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 45”.  The right side of the frame is marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL C12618”.  The left side of the slide is marked “PATENTED APR. 20 1897. SEPT 9 1902 DEC. 19 1905. FEB. 14 1911. AUG 19 1913

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a small crescent blade, the rear sight is a rounded U-notch that is dovetailed to the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a two piece checkered wood panel with diamond patterns at the screws. There are scratches and pressure dents. The checkering is worn.  The grips are in Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright and the rifling is well defined. There is no erosion in the bore.  There is some minor fouling. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates at 8/10

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 40% of its metal finish.  The balance of the finish shows operational and handling wear.  The majority of the metal shows patina and rust freckling.  There are scuffs and scratches throughout.  The screws and pins are in good condition. Overall this pistol rates at a fair condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
