Markings: The left side of the frame is marked “PAT SEPT 19 1871, JULY 2 – 72, JAN – 75” The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT FA MFG HARTFORD CT USA” The loading gate is marked “346” The bottom of the frame, trigger guard and butt of the frame is marked “321898” The left side of the barrel is marked “45 COLT”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade, the rear sight is a V groove cut into the top of the frame.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece checkered Eagle grips. The checkering is defined. There are scratches and compression marks present. There are no cracks. The grips rate in Good condition.
The grips are not original to the pistol.
Type of Finish: Blued
Finish Originality: Refinished
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is defined. There is erosion and pitting in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 4/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are various scratches and scuffs on the barrel and frame. There is a turn line on the cylinder. The markings are clear. The screwheads are tool marked with serviceable slots. This pistol rates in Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
