Markings: The left side of the frame is marked “PAT SEPT 19 1871, JULY 2 – 72, JAN – 75” The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT FA MFG HARTFORD CT USA” The loading gate is marked “888” The bottom of the frame and trigger guard is marked “220022” all other markings are too faint to read.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade, the rear sight is a U groove cut into the top of the frame.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece Colt checkered grips. The checkering is heavily worn. There are scratches and compression marks present. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Fair condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is dark, the rifling is thin. There is erosion and pitting in the bore. In this writers opinion the bore rates 2/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 0% of its metal finish. All the metal surfaces have Patina and pitting. The screwheads are tool marked with serviceable slots, the markings are faint. This revolver rates in Poor overall condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
