Our Assessment:
The Colt Diamondback is often regarded as the “baby Python” due to its similarity in design and quality to the legendary Colt Python. Introduced in 1966, this revolver was built on Colt’s smaller “D” frame, making it both lightweight and perfectly suited for target shooting and small game hunting. This specific Diamondback chambered in .22 Long Rifle is ideal for both collectors and shooters alike. The 4″ barrel variant provides a good balance of accuracy and portability, and its excellent condition makes it highly desirable.
