Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL”. The right side of the frame is marked “F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A” and “SCGN0599”. The left side of the slide is marked “SPECIAL COMBAT / -GOVERNMENT” with a Colt Rampant. Both grips have Wilson medallions in their centers. The left side of the trigger guard is marked with a triangle VP and “5”. The rear of the slide above the firing pin is marked “1”.

Sights / Optics: Factory night sights are installed. The tritium is bright.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are Wilson Combat Slim Line Concealed Carry Diamondwood laminate grips with a striking two-tone striped finish and Wilson Combat medallions. The grips are in Excellent condition with no visible wear.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 8-round magazine in Fine condition.
Type of Finish: Royal Blue finish on the slide and frame with matte slide top.
Finish Originality: Original factory finish.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion, only light fouling. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only light storage marks consisting of a few small scratches on the slide and some wear on the barrel.. The screw heads are sharp, and the markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in its original blue Colt factory hard case with the matching serial number, factory manual, paperwork, and accessories. It includes a factory test target dated 9/2/97,and two 8-round magazines.
