Sights / Optics: The front sight is a quarter round blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square groove in the top strap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is one-piece smooth bone with silver-colored Colt medallions. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Cylinder lockup produces almost no play. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with its original shipping carton, Colt display case fitted for the revolver, the additional cylinder and the included copy of “The Colt Armory” by Ellsworth S. Grant, faux-wood cardboard Colt box with two-piece styrofoam inserts, and an assortment of factory paperwork including manual.
Our Assessment: Everyone should have a Colt Single Action Army, and this example from Colt’s Custom Shop would be a nice one to add to any collection. Manufactured in 1983, this revolver is a Colt Armory Edition, one of only 500 with 250 finished blue & case color and 250 finished nickel. This example is in Excellent condition, appearing to have spent almost its entire life in the original packaging which is included with the revolver. This limited edition with everything it originally shipped from the factory will make a great display in a Colt collection or BBQ gun for the lucky winner. Please see our photos and good luck!
