Markings: The left side of the barrel is etched “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER”. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO.” / “HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.”. The left side of the frame is marked “PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871” / “” JULY. 2,–72.” / “” JAN. 19, –75.”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “CLASSIC ARMS CORDOVA, TN” and proof marks. The bottom of the frame is marked with the serial number. The loading gate arm and the face of the cylinder are marked with “143”. The rear of the cylinder is marked with “.44-40” and a proof mark.
Barrel Length: 4 3/4”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a quarter round blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square groove in the top strap which is visible when cocked.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece black checkered panels with eagle and shield motif and Rampant Colt logo at the top. There is minor handling wear. The checkering remains sharp and defined. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are a few minor scratches along the barrel and backstrap. There is storage wear. There is very light thinning at the muzzle. There is a faint turn line on the cylinder. The case-color is vibrant. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly and smoothly. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
