Sights / Optics: The front sight is a post staked into the slide. The rear sight is an adjustable square notch roll pinned into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are one piece checkered Pachmayr grips with Colt medallions. There is minimal handling wear on the grips. There are no chips or cracks. The grips are in Excellent Condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with stubborn fouling present. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 99% of its metal finish. The firearm shows very little operational and handling wear. There are only a few very minor blemishes present. The screw heads show faint to no tooling and remain turnable. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this firearm is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Colt Combat Target Model 1911 was manufactured in 1996 and represents a stainless variant of Colt’s enhanced Government Model line from the mid-1990s. Produced by Colt, the Combat Target series incorporated factory performance features while maintaining the classic 5 inch Government Model configuration. The stainless construction offers durability and corrosion resistance while preserving the traditional 1911 profile.
Chambered in .45 Auto with a 5 inch barrel, this pistol continues the long-standing pairing between the 1911 platform and the .45 ACP cartridge. The Combat Target configuration is oriented toward improved sighting and trigger performance for range or competition use. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10, indicating excellent internal condition. The action functions correctly.
