Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “COLT / GOVERNMENT MODEL” followed by the Rampant Colt logo and “AUTOMATIC / CALIBER .45”. The right side of the slide is marked “COMBAT GOVERNMENT MODEL”. The right side of the frame is marked “70B44116”. The left side of the frame is marked “COLT HARTFORD CONN. U.S.A.”. All markings are crisp and legible.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a patridge blade fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a white outline square-notch sight dovetailed to the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered wood panels with gold-colored Colt medallions. The checkering is sharp, and there are minor handling marks present, consistent with handling. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: This pistol comes with one 7-round .45 ACP magazine in Very Good condition, showing light handling wear.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling and operational wear, primarily on the slide and high edges. There are minor scratches and scuffs, with light handling marks on the frame and slide. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excelllent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
