Our Assessment: The Colt 1911 Combat Commander is a variant of the iconic Colt M1911 pistol, which was designed by John Browning and has been in continuous production for over a century. The Combat Commander model offers a slightly smaller and more compact version of the original 1911, making it well-suited for concealed carry and tactical applications. Like all 1911 pistols, the Combat Commander features a crisp and consistent single-action trigger with a short reset, allowing for rapid and accurate follow-up shots.
Overall, the Colt 1911 Combat Commander is a compact and reliable handgun that combines the classic design of the 1911 with modern features and materials. Its compact size, chambering options, and legendary reliability make it a popular choice among shooters for concealed carry, home defense, and recreational shooting. – C.M.
