Our Assessment: Made by Colt in 1962 to celebrate the sesquicentennial of Columbus, Ohio, this is a limited edition Colt Frontier Scout revolver. The gun is in about Excellent condition with only some light handling marks in its beautiful gold finish. The revolver comes with a wood Colt presentation case. Founded in 1812, Columbus was to be the capital of the state of Ohio. Since the state was founded in 1803, there had been infighting with the capital moving from Chillicothe to Zanesville and back so an entirely new city was to be founded near the center of the state and near trading routes. This would be a great find for an Ohio resident. A limited edition gun like this, with only 200 made, would also interest the Colt collector in general, especially in this high condition.
