Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “1769- California Bicentennial -1969”. The left side of the frame features the Rampant Colt logo. The bottom of the frame is marked with the serial number “10CBI”. The butt-strap has floral scroll engraving. The grip panels each have a gold colored Colt medallion. The right side of the barrel is marked “COLT SINGLE ACTION FRONTIER SCOUT .22 L.R.” The front of the ejector rod handle is marked “COLT”.

Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a quarter circle blade fixed by the muzzle. The rear sight is square-notch integral to the top-strap.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grip panels are soft red wood with Gold Colt medallions. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grip panels are in excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with well defined rifling. There is no erosion in the bore . In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. The markings remain clear. The screwheads retain strong slots and are serviceable. Overall, the pistol is in excellent condition as C&R.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks with light play on each chamber. The single-action trigger is crisp. The hammer has four clicks (the quarter notch (which serves as the safety), half-cock, when the cylinder lock lug engages the cylinder and the fully-cocked trigger). We did not fire this revolver. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: This pistol comes with its factory display box with California emboldened on the lid, and Colt key to the box. Also a Golden colored paperweight to commemorate the goldrush in the shape of California. Please see our photos.
