Our Assessment: The Colt Ace was introduced in 1931 as a .22 LR version of the classic 1911 pistol, designed to allow shooters to train with cheaper ammunition while maintaining the weight and handling characteristics of the .45 ACP Government Model. This particular example is an early production model, making it especially desirable for collectors.

The Ace features an adjustable rear sight and a floating chamber system designed to simulate the recoil of a larger caliber, making it an excellent training tool. While these pistols were never produced in large numbers, they remain highly sought after by collectors and shooters alike.

With its solid metal finish, sharp bore, and fully functional action, this is a great opportunity to own a classic piece of Colt history. Whether you’re a collector of early Colt semi-automatics or someone who appreciates finely crafted target pistols, this Ace will make a fine addition to any collection.  Please see our High Quality photos and good luck on your bids.-C.M.
