Our Assessment: This Colt Peacemaker Buntline .22, a slightly smaller rimfire version of the famous Single Action Army, was selected in 1977 to commemorate the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. It specifically commemorates the operative clause, frequently misunderstood despite its simplicity. While the 1st applies only to Congress and the 3rd has explicit exceptions, the language of the 2nd Amendment is perhaps the most absolute of any in the Constitution and its Amendments. This beautiful revolver will display well wherever this may be remembered…or forgotten. Please see our photos and good luck in your bidding!
