Sights/Optics: The front sight is a blade with white dot fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with white dots dovetailed to the slide.
Markings: The left and right side of the slide is engraved with a specialized Aztec-themed engraving, while the left side has a Rampant Colt at the rear of the slide. The left side of the frame is marked with “GOVERNMENT MODEL”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number. The top of the barrel is marked “-COLT SUPER 38 AUTO-“.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The grips are two piece smooth, ivory colored, engraved, and hand painted with Aztec motif. There are little to no handling marks on the panels. There are no chips or cracks. Overall the grips are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates a 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun’s stainless surfaces are bright and virtually free of handling marks, minus a couple hairline scratches on the frames right side. The rose gold accents are bright with no wear. The barrel, hood, hammer face, and backstrap safety show minor operational use. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Colt Government Model TALO Mexican Heritage pistol is a striking modern presentation of the classic 1911 platform, chambered in the desirable .38 Super Auto and finished in high-polish stainless with 24k rose gold highlights. The pistol’s Aztec-themed slide engraving, Rampant Colt marking, ivory-colored engraved and hand-painted grip panels, and bright contrasting accents give it a distinctive display presence while retaining the full-size Government Model profile that made Colt’s 1911-pattern pistols iconic.
Condition is a major strength here. The stainless finish remains bright with only a couple of fine hairline scratches noted on the right side of the frame, and the rose gold accents remain vivid with no notable wear. The grips are excellent, the bore is bright with sharp rifling, and the action functions correctly. Minor operational evidence on the barrel, hood, hammer face, and grip safety suggests light use rather than extensive firing. The included serial-matching Colt box, magazine, paperwork, allen key, and lock further enhance its appeal to collectors.
