Sights/Optics: The front sight is a Novak metal blade with a white dot, fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a Novak square notch with white dots, dovetailed to the slide.
Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL” / “COLT” / AUTOMATIC CALIBER 45″ with a Rampant Colt logo at the slide’s rear. The right side of the slide is marked “COLT RAIL GUN”. The left side of the frame is marked with a proof mark on the trigger guard bow. The right side of the frame is marked with “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” and a “1” on the trigger guard bow. The top of the barrel is marked -“COLT 45 AUTO N.M.-“.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The installed grips are mostly smooth bone. There are minor handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The spare grips are two piece checkered rosewood. There is visibly no handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, both sets of grips are in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Refinished
Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates a 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun’s custom stainless surface is bright with minor scuffs on the slide. There is light operational wear along the barrel, slide, and action. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition as refinished.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The ambidextrous safety works as designed. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Colt Government Model Rail Gun is a modern tactical evolution of the classic 1911 platform, chambered in .45 ACP and manufactured in 2010. The Rail Gun series blended Colt’s traditional Government Model lineage with contemporary defensive and duty-oriented features, including an accessory rail, Novak-style combat sights, ambidextrous safety, and National Match barrel. While retaining the familiar ergonomics and single-action trigger pull that made the 1911 famous, the Rail Gun was designed to compete with modern fighting pistols while still carrying unmistakable Colt heritage. This example features a custom bright stainless refinish, 5″ National Match barrel, Novak white-dot sights, and an attractive set of smooth bone grips in addition to the included rosewood checkered panels.
This pistol remains in Excellent overall condition, with custom refinished bright stainless surfaces showing only minor slide scuffs and light operational wear on the barrel, slide, and action. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, rating 9.75/10 in this writer’s opinion. Both sets of grips are Excellent, with the installed smooth bone grips and spare rosewood panels showing little to no handling wear and no chips or cracks. Mechanically, the action functions correctly and the ambidextrous safety operates as designed. The pistol also includes a very complete accessory package with its serial-matching Colt blue plastic case, two 8-round magazines, spare grips, chamber flag, child lock, recoil spring components, test fire packet, paperwork, and backstrap piece. With its blend of traditional Colt styling and modern tactical features, this Rail Gun should appeal to Colt collectors, defensive shooters, and 1911 enthusiasts looking for a clean stainless Government Model with rail-equipped versatility.
