Our Assessment: This rare and beautifully matched set of Colt 1873 Peacemaker Centennial revolvers celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic Colt Single Action Army. With opposing serial numbers—909PC and PC909—these revolvers are uniquely tied and offer historical and aesthetic significance.

The nickel-finished revolver, chambered in .44-40, features intricate markings, including “Colt Frontier Six Shooter” on the barrel and “.44CF” on the frame, with black hard rubber grips bearing the American Eagle insignia. Its tan leather display case, complete with Samuel Colt’s portrait and commemorative markings, adds to its historical appeal.

The case-colored and blued revolver, chambered in .45 Colt, bears period-correct markings on the frame, including “Pat. Sept. 19. 1871 / Pat. July 2, 1872 / US,” as well as a cartouche on its smooth walnut grips with Samuel Colt’s initials. It is complemented by a beautifully crafted wooden display case with a glass top.

Both revolvers are in Excellent condition, retaining 98-99% of their original finishes, with only minimal handling marks such as a faint turn line on the .45 Colt cylinder. These revolvers are an extraordinary pair that would be the highlight of any Colt collection, offering a unique opportunity to own two thematically matched commemorative pieces with opposing serial numbers.
