HARTFORD CT U.S.A.” along with the colt pony emblem The frame is marked, “No. 2362150/ UNITED STATES PROPERTY / M1911A1” with a proof mark above the mag release. The left side of the frame behind the trigger is marked “JSB”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a small crescent blade, the rear sight is a flat top U-notch that is dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a two piece checkered polymer panel. There is some scratching and pressure dents. The checkering is sharp. The grips are in Very Good condition for a C&R.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is well defined. There is no erosion in the bore but there is some minor fouling . In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates at 8/10 for a C&R.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 60% of its metal finish. Most of the finish on this pistol has worn off or thinned. There is moderate action wear.The slide and frame have small nicks in the steel. The screws are sharp. The pins are unmarred. Overall this pistol rates at a Good condition for a C&R.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The action is smooth, the trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
