Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST. LOUIS Mo. & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN BELGIUM”. The right side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING PATENTS”. The left side of the barrel is marked “22 SHORT SMOKELESS”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “3E17281”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed into the barrel, the rear sight is a flip up “U” notch leaf that is adjustable for windage and elevation. The top of the barrel is also drilled, tapped, and filled in front and behind the rear sight for additional sight options.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece checkered and polished black walnut with serrated steel buttplate, semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, and checkered forend. There is a small lever at the bottom front of the receiver to takedown the rifle. The finger charging handle is located under the receiver on the bolt. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is some light handling wear. The checking remains crips with light wear on the peaks.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In my opinion the bore rates 9/10
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light-modest operation wear. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
