The stock has a few light nicks and one more notable compression in the bottom of the forend. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some stubborn copper fouling. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates 8 or 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The finish is thinning at the muzzle and there are a few light marks on the barrel. The action shows minor operational wear and there is light handling wear on the bolt knob. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the installed scope.
Our Assessment: This is a very nice looking Browning A-Bolt bolt action rifle built by Miroku in Japan, chambered in 7mm-08 Remington. Originally a wildcat cartridge, it is based on the .308 Winchester case necked down for .284 (7mm) projectiles. Given the wide range of projectile weights and types available, it is a versatile hunting or target cartridge, especially if you hand load.
The rifle features a beautiful walnut stock, a high luster blue barrel and scroll engraving on the shoulders of the receiver and the magazine floorplate. The stock has a high gloss finish with rosewood tipped forend and a rosewood grip cap. The rifle is in Fine condition with about 97% of its original finish remaining and some minor wear in the stock. This rifle looks to have spent more time in storage than out with little evidence of use. Please see our photos and good luck!
