Our Assessment: Browning introduced the Citori in 1973 as a simplified and more economical version of the original superposed. As a great gun that average shooters can afford, it quickly became one of the most popular shotguns in the US. It gained popularity with trap, skeet, and sporting clays shooters the world over. Browning responded by introducing specialty models for each of these disciplines.
The Browning Citori Gran Lightning was introduced in 1988. They come back-bored with Invector chokes and provide a stylish, handy double for the hunting crowd. It provides craftsmanship, and practicality, making it a favored choice among upland bird hunters who appreciate both the artistry and performance of a finely crafted firearm.
This particular Citori Gran Lightning is offered in Excellent shape, and does not appear to have endured the rigors of the field. With the right Invector chokes, this 20 gauge would make a good companion, come the autumn.
