Markings: The left side of the upper barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH / MADE IN JAPAN / MIROKU”. The left of the barrel lug is marked “Invector DS 30” 3 S 17655ZR”. The right side of the top barrel is marked “CITORI SPECIAL STEEL 12 GA-2 3/4” AND 3” PAT. 5933997”. The bottom of the block has a series of proofs. The inside of the forend iron is marked “17655” and the inside of the forend is stamped “BC 17655”. The top tang, under the lever, is marked with the serial number. The bottom of the receiver is marked “BROWNING / 725 / Sporting”. The bottom of the trigger guard has a Browning logo. The left and right receiver flanks are marked “725”.
Barrel Length: 30” ported with floating vented barrel rib
Choke: This shotgun is cut for Invector Plus DS interchangeable chokes. Currently installed Modified over Improved Modified. Also includes Full, Skeet and Improved Cylinder. Includes 5 chokes total.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a HI VIZ green “LitePipe” at the front of the rib with an ivory mid bead. The rib is serrated for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set is a two piece checkered walnut furniture set that includes a thin profile Schnabel forend. The stock is a close radius semi pistol grip with right handed palm swell, fluted, fully adjustable comb stock with an Inflex rubber buttpad. The LOP is 14.5” from the front of the adjustable trigger to the back of the buttpad. The forend shows some very light scattered handling wear, with no notable marks. The stock shows some light handling wear with a few very minor lines and compressions but nothing notable. Overall the wood on this shotgun is in Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Blued barrels, gold trigger and coin finished receiver.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bores are bright with no erosion. There are lines and moderate plastic fouling present from use. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 8.5/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The barrel set has minor wear from use and some very minor rub wear from the forend. The receiver shows some very minor surface lines as well. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear and the pins are clean. Overall, this gun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun features a single selective trigger and ejectors. The barrels lock up solidly. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened but does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun includes the factory box, 5 chokes, allen wrenches, choke wrench, two extra triggers, manual, paperwork, and chamber locks.
