Otherwise, the finish is intact throughout. The markings and engravings are clear and legible. The screw heads are lightly tooled, but retain strong and serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the scope base and rings as mentioned above.
Our Assessment: The Browning A-Bolt Medallion represents the refined side of modern sporting rifles, blending Miroku’s Japanese precision manufacturing with classic American styling. Introduced in the mid-1980s, the A-Bolt earned a reputation for smooth bolt travel, strong lockup, and an innovative magazine system that combines a detachable box with a hinged floorplate. Chambered here in .204 Ruger, a cartridge introduced in 2004 to deliver high velocity with minimal recoil, this rifle reflects the early years of that flat-shooting varmint round. The .204 Ruger quickly became known for its blistering speeds and laser-like trajectory, making it a favorite for prairie dogs and predator work.
This 2004 example retains approximately 98 percent of its original blued finish with only minor thinning at the muzzle crown and light handling marks elsewhere. The factory scroll engraving on the receiver and floorplate remains crisp and well defined, complementing the gloss-finished walnut stock, which rates Very Good with only light scattered impressions. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 10 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The action cycles smoothly, the tang safety operates properly, and the trigger breaks crisp and clean in our mechanical check. Overall, this is a handsome and well-kept A-Bolt Medallion in a highly capable varmint chambering. Please see our photos for a better understanding of condition and good luck with your bids! – J.D.
