Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH / ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL BY BROWNING VIANA / 115ZY10022”. The right side of the barrel is marked “MAXUS – 12GA – 2 ¾”, 3” INVECTOR PLUS – 30” / DESIGNED AT FN HERSTAL BELGIUM PATENTS PENDING”. Both sides of the receiver are marked “SPORTING CLAYS”. The left side is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 30”, Full Length Vent-Rib.
Choke: The barrel is threaded for Browning Invector Plus choke tubes. Currently installed with a Briley Ported Improved Modified choke. Also includes Browning made FULL, SKEET, IMPROVED CYLINDER, MODIFIED, and IMPROVED MODIFIED. Six chokes total.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a large Green fiber optic front sight with a smaller white mid bead. The top of the rib and receiver have checkering and serrations for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set on this shotgun is a two piece, high gloss, checkered, Grade three Turkish walnut furniture set. The stock is a semi pistol grip with fluted straight comb, and Inflex rubber buttpad. The LOP is 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The drop at comb is 1.75” and the drop at heel is 2”. The forend is a thin profile semi finger shelf forend. The furniture set shows some very minor handling wear with no notable damage or marrs. Overall the furniture is in Excellent to Like New condition.
Type of Finish: Blued barrel, Matte Nickel finished receiver.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is mirror bright. There is no visible erosion. There is minor visible plastic fouling and minor lines from use. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling/storage wear. The barrel extension shows some lines in the finish from being assembled and disassembled. The screwheads are sharp, the pins are un-marred and the markings are clear. Overall this shotgun is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun includes the original Browning case, chokes as mentioned above, cable lock with keys, stock spacers, replacement fiber inserts, choke wrench, shims, screws, manual and paperwork.
