Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH / ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL BY BROWNING VIANA”. The right side of the barrel is marked “MAXUS – 12GA – 2 ¾”, 3” INVECTOR PLUS – 30” / DESIGNED AT FN HERSTAL BELGIUM PATENTS PENDING”. Both sides of the receiver are marked “MAXUS SPORTING”. The left side is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 30”, Full Length Vent-Rib.
Choke: The barrel is threaded for Browning Invector Plus choke tubes. Currently installed with a Briley Ported Skeet choke. Also includes a Briley Ported Improved Modified choke, and Browning made FULL, SKEET, IMPROVED CYLINDER, MODIFIED, and IMPROVED MODIFIED. Seven chokes total.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a large Green fiber optic front sight with a smaller white mid bead. The top of the rib and receiver have checkering and serrations for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set on this shotgun is a two piece synthetic Carbon Fiber rubberized textured furniture set. The stock is a semi pistol grip with fluted straight comb, Inflex rubber buttpad, and sling swivel stock. The LOP is 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The drop at comb is 1.75” and the drop at heel is 2”. The forend is a thin profile semi finger shelf forend. The furniture set shows some very minor handling wear with no notable damage or marrs. Overall the furniture is in Excellent to Like New condition.
Type of Finish: Carbon Fiber Dip.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition:The bore is mirror bright. There is no visible erosion. There is no visible plastic fouling however the bore shows minor lines from use. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling/storage wear with no notable damage. The screwheads are sharp, the pins are un-marred and the markings are clear. The charging handle has been upgraded to a Briley aftermarket handle. Overall this shotgun is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun includes the original Browning case, chokes as mentioned above, cable lock with keys, stock spacers, replacement fiber inserts, original charging handle, Briley paddle release, choke wrench, shims and paperwork.
