Sights / Optics: The front sight is a small silver bead affixed to the front of the rib. The top of the rib is finely checkered for the purpose of reducing glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is a two piece high gloss checkered walnut set with full finger shelf forend. The stock is a semi-pistol grip with fluted straight comb and black plastic butt plate. The length of pull is 14.25″, the drop at comb is 1 3/8ths” and the drop at heel is 2″. The cast is essentially neutral. The shotgun weighs 6lbs 8oz. The high gloss finish shows some forming crazing. The finish shows some surface level lines, scratches, compressions, and small nicks scattered throughout with the most notable patch on the belly of the stock. The butt plate shows only minor wear with a small nick in the toe. There are no chips or cracks. Overall the furniture is in Very Good condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The smooth bores are bright with no erosion or pitting. The chambers and forcing cones show plastic fouling and lines from use. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The upper tang shows wear and finish loss from the safety. The barrel set shows some minor scattered marks and rub wear from the forend. The inside of the action shows some minor rub wear from use. The rib shows some scattered surface rust freckling and some finish loss on the edges. The markings are clear, the screw heads sharp and the pins un-marred. Overall this shotgun is in Good+-Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun features a single selective trigger and ejectors. The barrels lock up solidly with no play. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened but does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Browning Citori Grade I Hunting was manufactured in 1987 and is a classic example of Browning’s highly regarded over-under field shotgun. Chambered in 20 gauge with 3-inch chambers, it features handy 26-inch barrels threaded for Invector choke tubes, making it a versatile choice for upland hunting while allowing the shooter to tailor patterns to different game and loads. The single selective trigger provides quick barrel selection, while the compact 20-gauge configuration gives the shotgun lively handling and a natural feel in the field.
The shotgun is fitted with a full-finger-shelf forend and semi-pistol grip stock, both finished in a handsome high-gloss walnut that gives this Grade I a classic Browning appearance.
