20 Gauge Barrel Set: The left side of the upper barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH / MADE IN JAPAN / MIROKU”. The left of the monoblock is marked “INVECTOR PLUS / 30″ /14167ZP”. The bottom of the monoblock is marked with “NP SP 3F”. The right side of the top barrel is marked “CITORI SPECIAL STEEL 20GA-2 3/4″ AND 3″”.
12 Gauge Barrel Set: The left side of the upper barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH / MADE IN JAPAN / MIROKU”. The left of the monoblock is marked “INVECTOR PLUS / 30″ /14167ZP”. The bottom of the monoblock is marked with “NP SP 3F”. The right side of the top barrel is marked “CITORI SPECIAL STEEL 12GA-2 3/4″ AND 3″”.
The inside of the forend iron is marked “14167” and the inside of the forend is stamped “14167”. The top tang, under the lever, is marked with “14167ZP131” and “S U O”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “BROWNING CITORI”. Both sides of the receiver are marked “Citori CXS” The bottom of the trigger guard has a Buck Mark logo. The butt pad is marked “INFLEX TECHNOLOGY”.
Barrel Length: 30″ wide floating Rib.
Choke: This Shotgun uses Browning Invector PLUS extended Midas Grade interchangeable chokes. The 12 Gauge barrel set is currently installed with FULL over Skeet.
The 20 gauge set is installed with SKEET over Improved Cylinder. Also Includes Modified and Full.
2 Chokes total for the 12 gauge and 4 for the 20 gauge.
Sights / Optics: Both barrel sets have a white bead at the front of the rib, and a white mid-bead. The top of the rib is finely checkered for the purpose of reducing glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock and forend are a two piece checkered High Gloss walnut furniture set. The stock is a checkered full semi-pistol grip with small right handed palm swell, checkered wrist, fluted straight comb, with a Inflex Technology rubber Browning butt pad. The LOP measures approximately 14.75″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the butt pad. The butt pad has no wear. The drop at comb is 1.5″ and the drop at heel is 2.25″ The forend is a checkered slab side Schnabel forend. The forend shows some very minor compressions and a very small nick in the right side top edge about an inch in front of the receiver. Both rear edges show small chips in the finish. The stock shows a few very small compressions and marks. There are no chips or cracks in the stock. Overall the wood is in Very Good+ near Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The 12 GA smooth bores are mirror bright with no erosion. They show some barely visible plastic fouling in the forcing cones with some minor lines from use. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9.75/10.
The 20 gauge smooth bores are mirror bright with no erosion. They show visible plastic fouling in the forcing cones with some minor lines from use. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The inside of the action shows stains from grease. The top tang shows the normal rub marks from the safety. The cut in the bottom of the receiver for the tab from the forend shows some rust. The sides of the receiver show some surface level lines common with this finish. The barrel sets show some minor handling with rub wear on the sides of the monoblocs. Both blocks show stains from grease. I removed a lot of the excess grease during the inspection but this gun will benefit from a thorough cleaning. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear and the pins are clean. Overall, this gun rates in Very Good+ condition and may rate higher after a thorough cleaning.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The shotgun features a single selective trigger and ejectors. The barrels lock up solidly with zero play. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened but does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Browning Citori CXS Two-Barrel Set, manufactured in 2018, is a highly versatile shotgun package featuring both 12 gauge and 20 gauge barrel sets. Both barrel assemblies measure 30 inches in length, feature 3-inch chambers, and are threaded for Browning Invector-Plus choke tubes, allowing the shooter to tailor patterns for everything from sporting clays and skeet to upland hunting.
